Remembering Lives Lost in the Tri-Cities Area

The Tri-Cities area has recently experienced the passing of several individuals who contributed to the community in various ways. Their lives, though diverse, reflect the rich tapestry of people who have called this region home.

Sharon Lynn Scribner, 77, of Richland, passed away on July 17. She was born in Longview, Washington, and spent a decade living in the Tri-Cities. A truck broker by profession, she left behind a legacy of hard work and dedication. Arrangements are being handled by Mueller's Tri-Cities Funeral Home in Kennewick.

Andrea Jean Demyer, 78, also from Richland, died on the same day. Born and raised in the Tri-Cities, she was a homemaker who dedicated her life to her family. Her passing is being managed by Einan's at Sunset in Richland.

Bryan Eugene Zlatich, 59, of Kennewick, passed away on July 16. He was born in Kennewick and spent his entire life in the Tri-Cities. Bryan was a retired manager at the Cable Bridge Zip's, where he played an important role in the community. His arrangements are also being handled by Mueller's Tri-Cities Funeral Home.

Patricia E. Zimmerle, 92, of Kennewick, died on July 14. She was born in San Marcos, Texas, but lived in the Tri-Cities for 71 years. As a social worker with the Department of Social and Health Services, she made a lasting impact on many lives. Mueller's Tri-Cities Funeral Home is managing her arrangements.

Rosellon Hill, 83, of Pasco, passed away on July 10. She was born in Dardanelle, Arkansas, and lived in the Tri-Cities for 50 years. Rosellon worked as an activity director and nurse aid at Vista View Nursing Home, where she provided care and support to many residents. The funeral arrangements are being handled by Mueller's Tri-Cities Funeral Home.

Seferina Limon Benavides, 94, of Grandview, died on July 19. She was born in Zapotlanejo, Jalisco, Mexico, and was a long-time resident of the Yakima Valley. Seferina worked for Twin City Foods for many years, contributing to the local economy. Smith Funeral Home in Sunnyside is managing her arrangements.

Larry Dale Muhlbeier, 82, of Pasco, passed away on July 17. He was born in Hardin, Montana, and spent most of his adult life in the Columbia Basin. Larry had a varied career, including being a farmer, truck driver, and cowboy. His arrangements are being handled by Mueller's Greenlee Funeral Home in Pasco.

Scott Samuel Gale, 37, of Kennewick, died on July 20. He was born in St. Paul, Minnesota, and lived in Kennewick for 34 years. Einan's at Hillcrest is managing his arrangements.

Mars Karou Nathaniel Rosser, 54, of Kennewick, passed away on July 19. He was born in Okmulgee, Oklahoma, and lived in the Tri-Cities for 17 years. Mars worked for Oxarc LLC, contributing to the local business community. Mueller's Tri-Cities Funeral Home is handling his arrangements.

Garrett H. Oord, 88, of Sunnyside, died on July 21. He was born in Zillah and was a lifelong resident of the Lower Yakima Valley. Garrett was a retired irrigation trouble shooter, playing a key role in maintaining the region’s agricultural infrastructure. Smith Funeral Home in Sunnyside is managing his arrangements.

Danny Joe Hawthorne, 77, of Richland, passed away on July 20. He was born in Indianapolis, Indiana, and was a retired respiratory therapist. His arrangements are being handled by Einan's at Sunset in Richland.

Cynthia Edris Drake, 66, of Richland, died on July 18. She was born in Pasco and lived in Richland for 36 years. Cynthia was a retired executive administrative assistant at Pacific Northwest National Laboratory, where she contributed to scientific research. Life Tributes Cremation Center in Kennewick is managing her arrangements.

Barbara Suzann Hartley, 51, of Mesa, passed away on July 20. She was born in Dumas, Texas, and lived in Kennewick for 20 years. Barbara was a homemaker who dedicated her life to her family. Einan's at Hillcrest in Pasco is managing her arrangements.

These individuals, each with their own unique stories and contributions, leave behind a legacy that will be remembered by their families, friends, and the broader community. Their passing marks the end of one chapter, but their impact continues to be felt in the Tri-Cities area.
